Mumbai Customs Arrests Two Bangkok Passengers for Smuggling Hydroponic Weed

The men said they carried it because someone promised them a free trip to Bangkok.

The police are still looking for the other people involved in the plan.
Now the two friends are in trouble with the law.

Nearly 1.9 kg (1,923 grams) of hydroponic weed was recovered from four packets concealed in cavities of their trolley bags at CSMIA.
The duo, childhood friends, allegedly agreed to smuggle the narcotics in exchange for a free foreign trip to Bangkok offered by their handler.
Officers of the Air Intelligence Unit, acting on specific information, intercepted the passengers upon their arrival from Bangkok.
The accused allegedly admitted knowledge of the contraband; the investigation is at a preliminary stage and other associates are yet to be traced.
