Mumbai Customs Arrests Woman for 2.5 Kg Hydroponic Weed Smuggling

A woman who lives in Nalasopara, near Mumbai, was caught at the airport with illegal drugs.

She had just flown in from Bangkok, a city in Thailand.

Customs officers were waiting for her because they had information about her.

They found two packets hidden in her bag.

The packets had about 2.5 kilograms of a drug called hydroponic weed, which is a type of cannabis.

This drug is not allowed in India, and the law punishes people who bring it into the country.

The woman told the officers she knew it was against the law.

She was arrested and taken into custody.

The police think other people helped her, and they are still looking for them.

A report says more people are trying to smuggle this drug from Thailand because growing and selling cannabis became legal there.
