Ram Madhav Returns to BJP as National Vice President
A big political group in India called the BJP has chosen a new team of leaders.
One of the leaders is Ram Madhav, and he is coming back to the group after six years.
He will be one of the vice presidents of the party.
Ram Madhav used to work for the RSS, a group that trains many BJP leaders.
He helped the BJP win elections and make governments in places like Assam, Tripura and Nagaland.
He also helped the party work with another group in Jammu and Kashmir.
He lost his old job in 2020, but now he is back.
The party president, Nitin Nabin, chose the new team.
Many other leaders who came from the RSS are staying in their jobs too.
Ram Madhav's new job is a senior role, and he might get even more important work later.
Ram Madhav has been appointed one of 13 national vice-presidents in BJP president Nitin Nabin's new team, returning to the party's core organisation after six years.
Madhav previously served as BJP national general secretary from 2014 to 2020 and was removed in September 2020 when JP Nadda announced a new team.
He was the main strategist behind the BJP-PDP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir and a key architect of the BJP's expansion in the Northeast.
Sources say Prime Minister Narendra Modi played an important role in Madhav's new assignment.
The new team retains RSS-linked leaders such as Sunil Bansal and BL Santhosh, strengthening RSS-BJP coordination ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
