Ashutosh Parida to Receive 47th Sarala Puraskar
Dr Ashutosh Parida is a poet from Odisha who has received an important literary award.
The award is called the Sarala Puraskar.
He won it for his poetry book Bishwas De Pruthwi.
The book was published in 2024.
He will receive the award at a ceremony in Bhubaneswar on October 25.
The prize includes money, a plaque and a citation.

Odia poet and former CSIR-IMMT scientist Dr Ashutosh Parida has won the 47th Sarala Puraskar.
He is being recognised for his 2024 poetry collection Bishwas De Pruthwi, published by Prabha Publication.
The award will be presented in Bhubaneswar on October 25, with a citation, copper plaque and Rs 7 lakh.
IMPaCT also announced Kala Samman honours for Odissi maestro Guru Durga Charan Ranbir and sculptor Damodar Behera.
Ranbir and Behera will each receive a citation, copper plaque and Rs 2.5 lakh for lifetime excellence in the arts.
