Naidu, Hindustan Shipyard Discuss Greenfield Shipyards for Maritime Growth

Mr. Naidu is the leader, or Chief Minister, of a state in India called Andhra Pradesh.

He met Mr. Raghuram, who is the boss of a company called Hindustan Shipyard Limited.

Hindustan Shipyard Limited is a company that builds ships.

They met in Amaravati to talk about building two brand-new shipyards.

A shipyard is a special factory where ships are made and fixed.

The new shipyards would be built at two places on the coast called Machilipatnam and Dugarajapatnam.

If India builds its own ships, it will not have to depend as much on other countries.

That is called being more self-reliant at sea.

The project would also create many jobs for people in Andhra Pradesh.

People could work building ships, fixing them, making parts, and moving goods, which would help the coastal area grow stronger and richer.
