A dance festival called the Indraprastha Nritya Mahotsav took place at Purana Qila in Delhi.

It lasted three days, from October 2 to 4.

The Delhi Tourism Department organised it, and people could attend for free.

Dancers performed styles from across India, including Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi.

Artistes from India and abroad took part.

Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra said the festival helped share Delhi’s history and India’s cultural traditions.

He also said it could help young people learn about these traditions.

The government said it would work with artistes to support more cultural programmes.
