Sanawar School Opens Its Three-Day Founder’s Day Celebrations
The Lawrence School in Sanawar began celebrations for its 179th Founder’s Day.
The celebrations last three days.
Former students played sports with current students.
Alumni from several graduating years came back to meet friends and remember their school days.
They also paid tribute to former students who died serving the country.
Students performed a play called “12 Angry Men.”
More events, including sports, a fete and a light-and-sound show, were planned.
The celebrations were due to end with a ceremony for the school flag.
The Lawrence School, Sanawar began its three-day 179th Founder’s Day celebrations on Saturday, October 3.
Opening-day sports included girls’ basketball and boys’ futsal matches between Old and present Sanawarians.
Alumni from seven jubilee batches attended a special assembly at the School Chapel and paid tribute at the War Memorial.
Students performed the courtroom drama “12 Angry Men” at a concert in Barné Hall.
The programme was scheduled to conclude Monday with the traditional Trooping of the School Flag, in the presence of Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan.
