Sainath Alumni Take Families on Raigad Fort Heritage Trek
Former students from Sainath High School met for a reunion and brought their families to Raigad Fort.
About 40 people took part.
They started their trek at Pachad, near the fort.
A guide showed them important places and told stories about Shivaji Maharaj.
The children could see the historic site for themselves instead of only reading about it.
Some people also sang devotional music and visited Jagdishwar temple.
The group ate traditional zunka-bhakri.
The alumni hoped the trip would help children learn about history, nature and local culture while making family memories.
Around 40 family members from the 1998 Sainath High School batch joined a reunion trek to Raigad Fort.
The group began its climb at Pachad and explored landmarks including the Maha Darwaja, royal court, marketplace and Takmak Tok.
Guide Manish Gore shared accounts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s life, military strategy and vision of Swarajya.
Four participants completed the climb in 50 minutes; the day also included devotional music and a visit to Jagdishwar temple.
The alumni said they wanted to bring children beyond screens and classroom lessons to experience history, nature and Maharashtrian culture.
