Andhra Pradesh Intensifies Efforts to Trace Citizens Stranded in Nepal

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to identify stranded Andhra Pradesh residents, pilgrims and tourists and help move them to safety.
A 24-hour control room at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi is coordinating assistance and information requests.
The state is using Real-Time Governance and coordinating with India’s Ministry of External Affairs and Nepalese authorities.
Reports say at least 95 bodies were recovered from the Trishuli River, while more than 400 tourists remain unaccounted for, including about 130 Indians and 47 Americans.
Initial reports attributed the flash floods to an ice-rock avalanche in the Lhende River; India has provided Nepal 10 tonnes of humanitarian supplies.
