Johnny Depp Returns to Hollywood as Ebenezer Scrooge

Johnny Depp is back in Hollywood!

After taking a break from big studio movies for eight years, he's playing Ebenezer Scrooge in a new movie called Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol.

This comes after he left two famous movie series, Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts.

During his break, Depp worked on smaller, independent films and European projects.

Recently, he surprised fans at Comic-Con by dressing up as Scrooge.

The movie will be in theaters soon, and it's a big deal because it's his first major Hollywood role in a long time.
