India Sends Third Relief Consignment, Doctors to Flood-Hit Nepal
India sent another plane to Nepal after serious floods caused a lot of damage.
The plane carried 10 tonnes of supplies, including generators, food, hygiene kits and tablets to make water safer.
Doctors and paramedics traveled with the supplies to help people.
A small team also went to study how to rescue people who may be trapped in a tunnel.
This was India’s third shipment, bringing the total sent to 57.5 tonnes.
India also helped 21 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu return after they were rescued.
Officials said 84 Indian nationals had been rescued, while 96 others crossed safely into Nepal from the Chinese side.
The floods were reported to have killed at least 547 people and damaged roads and communication links.

The shipment included portable generators, dignity kits, food packets and water-purification tablets.
An 11-member team of doctors, paramedics and tunnel-rescue reconnaissance personnel traveled on the flight.
The three consignments totaled 57.5 tonnes, following shipments sent on August 26 and August 27.
India also reported rescuing Indian nationals, supporting pilgrims’ return and offering bridges, rescue teams and round-the-clock coordination.
