UP ATS Arrests Man From Meerut Mosque Over Jaish-e-Mohammed Links
The police in Uttar Pradesh, India, arrested a young man named Mohammad Zafar.
He is 24 years old.

The police think he helped a dangerous group called Jaish-e-Mohammed.
This group is based in Pakistan and is considered a terrorist organization.
The police say he collected money from people by pretending it was for a school.
He then sent that money to the group using a special digital money called cryptocurrency.
The police also found messages on his phone that supported violence.
He is now being questioned, and the police are looking into his money transfers and friends.
The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested 24-year-old Mohammad Zafar from a mosque in Meerut over alleged Jaish-e-Mohammed links.
Zafar, a resident of Purnia district in Bihar, obtained a Maulvi degree from a madrasa in Meerut in 2022.
The ATS alleges Zafar collected donations in the name of a madrasa and sent the money to Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan.
Investigators found Pakistani jihadi WhatsApp groups and social media posts related to jihad and caliphate on his accounts.
He allegedly transferred money on several occasions using USDT cryptocurrency and sought details of a Binance account.
