Prince Rahim Aga Khan V Meets Modi, Discusses Development Ties
Prince Rahim Aga Khan V is visiting India for the first time since becoming the 50th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.
He became the community’s spiritual leader in February 2025 after his father, Aga Khan IV, died.
During the visit, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior Indian officials.
They discussed working together on healthcare, farming, rural development and support for young people and women.

Prince Rahim leads the Aga Khan Development Network.
He will travel to Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Hyderabad to see some of its work.
