Odisha UAE Investment Outreach Brings Major Proposals and Jobs
Odisha’s Chief Minister visited the United Arab Emirates to encourage companies to invest in the state.
The visit took place from September 8 to 12.
Officials met about 400 business leaders in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
They held 52 meetings and discussed possible investments.
Eight agreements were signed, and 16 investment plans were received.
These proposals are valued at Rs 2,43,162 crore.
The government says they could create more than six lakh direct opportunities and about nine lakh jobs in total.
The government now wants to put the agreements into action quickly and start production.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi described the UAE investment outreach as a major milestone toward building a prosperous Odisha.
The September 8–12 visit included 52 business meetings with about 400 industrial leaders and representatives in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The state signed eight Memorandums of Understanding and generated 16 investment intents worth Rs 2,43,162 crore.
The proposals are expected to create 6,18,725 direct opportunities and around nine lakh total jobs, including indirect employment.
Including earlier proposals worth more than Rs 20 lakh crore, Odisha’s total investment proposals have reached Rs 22.5 lakh crore.
