Odisha UAE outreach secures Rs 2.43 lakh crore proposals

Odisha’s chief minister visited the United Arab Emirates to meet potential investors.

The state says these meetings produced investment proposals worth more than Rs 2.43 lakh crore.

Officials said 24 agreements or investment intentions came from the visit.

The team held 32 individual meetings and group discussions in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The proposed investments could create more than 6.18 lakh direct jobs.

They involve industries such as tourism, logistics, food processing, mining and metals.

Some companies had already signed investment agreements with Odisha before the UAE visit.

Investors from Jordan and Oman showed interest, but they have not signed formal agreements.
