New Karimnagar Collectorate Completed After Delay, Awaits Formal Inauguration
Karimnagar has a new building for many government offices.
The building cost an estimated Rs 51 crore.
It was supposed to be finished in December 2022 but was completed in August 2026.
The old Collectorate was partly demolished during construction.
Because of this, about 15 departments moved into rented buildings around the city.
The new complex has large meeting spaces, video-conferencing rooms, a canteen, roads, gardens and parking.
Officials considered opening it on August 16.
That plan became uncertain because Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was expected to visit, and no new opening date has been announced.
The Integrated District Offices Complex in Karimnagar was completed in August 2026 at an estimated cost of Rs 51 crore.
The project was scheduled for completion in December 2022, nearly four years before it was finished.
Around 15 government departments remain in rented premises after the old Collectorate was partially demolished.
The complex includes conference and meeting halls, video-conferencing rooms, a canteen, roads, green spaces and parking.
An August 16 inauguration was considered, but uncertainty over Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s proposed visit delayed the event.
