Rajasthan Civic Polls Draw 27,882 Contestants For 10,245 Seats
Rajasthan is preparing to elect representatives for many local governments.
There are 10,245 ward seats available in 309 municipal bodies.
A total of 27,882 people have entered the contest by filing nominations.
They submitted 34,220 nomination papers altogether.
Officials will check the nominations before candidates can withdraw.
Voting will happen in two rounds on September 9 and 11, 2026.
The votes will be counted on September 14.
Later, the newly elected members will choose mayors, chairpersons, and their deputies.
