Pooja Singh is a very good high jumper from India.

She jumps over a bar that is placed very high.

Pooja is only 19 years old and holds India's senior record for women's high jump.

At a big world competition for young athletes in Eugene, USA, everyone expected her to win a medal.

But Pooja did not jump as high as she usually does.

She cleared 1.84 metres, much lower than her best of 1.93 metres.

She tried three times to clear 1.87 metres but could not.

She finished in seventh place.

A jumper from Australia won the gold medal.

Even though Pooja did not win a medal, India still went home with three medals from the whole competition.
