Khan And Meghwal Bring India Three Medals At U20 Worlds
Two young athletes from India did amazing jumps at a big worldwide competition called the World U20 Championships, held in Eugene, USA.
Shahnavaz Khan, who is 18, does the long jump, where athletes run fast and jump as far as they can into a sand pit.
On his third try he jumped 7.84 metres and won the bronze medal, which is the third-place prize.
An athlete from Italy jumped a little farther and won gold, while an athlete from Australia won silver.
Another Indian athlete, Basant Kumar Meghwal, won silver in the high jump by clearing a bar set 2.21 metres high.
Athletes from Algeria and Great Britain also cleared the same height, but Basant finished ahead of the British athlete.
India has now won three medals at this competition, which is the same as their best-ever result.
Ashish Yadav won the first medal with his silver in the javelin throw.
The Indian girls' 4x400m relay team also ran well and made it to the final.
Everyone is proud of these young athletes.
