Somvanshi Poems Added to Maharashtra Class 4 Textbook
A famous children’s author from Nashik, Rajendra Somvanshi, has two poems that will now be read by fourth‑grade students in Maharashtra.
The poems are called "Vasudev Geet" and "Let’s Make Our School Beautiful."
They talk about local folk culture and keeping schools clean.
The new book will start being used in schools in the 2026‑27 school year.
