Haryana Police suspended an officer because investigators allegedly made serious mistakes in a murder case.

Yuvraj Singh Manchanda disappeared after going to Gurugram for a meeting.

Police later found an unidentified body in Badshahpur.

The body was cremated before officials connected it to Manchanda.

His family then learned that the ashes had reportedly been discarded.

Delhi Police say his former colleague Anya Vats and Sanyam Sachdeva killed him after an argument.

They allegedly sent messages from his phone to make people think he was still alive.

Investigators are also examining whether the killing was connected to cheating and extortion allegations.
