Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Badrinath temple.

He prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people in his state.

Badrinath is one of four important Hindu pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand.

The other sites are Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath.

Dhami also attended a religious event called the Badrinath Katha Mahotsav.

He said the second part of this year’s Char Dham pilgrimage had started.

According to Dhami, a record number of devotees had visited the four shrines so far this year.

He told officials to make the pilgrimage safer and better organized.
