US seeks extradition of Philippines 'Son of God' preacher Quiboloy

He started a very big church called the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

The United States government says he did very bad things, like hurting his followers and forcing young people to do things they did not want to do.
Because of this, the US has asked the Philippine government to send him to America to face a trial.
The preacher says he did not do these things.
He was arrested in the city of Davao in September 2024.

Philippine ambassador to Washington Jose Manuel Romualdez and the foreign ministry confirmed the request was transmitted to the Department of Justice.
Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) church, is on the FBI's 'most wanted' list in the US.
He was arrested at the KOJC's 30-hectare compound in Davao in September 2024 and also faces Philippine charges, including sexually abusing a child.
