Mallanna Gandi Reservoir resembles Konaseema in AP: Kadiyam
A local leader named Kadiyam Srihari is the MLA, or elected representative, for the Station Ghanpur area.
On a Friday he visited a village called Tatikonda.
There he helped open new roads and houses for people.
He also started construction of three new buildings and gave school uniforms to students.
Mr. Srihari talked about a place called Mallanna Gandi.
It used to be a small water project but grew into a big reservoir.
A system called the Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme helped create it.
The reservoir is surrounded by hills, green trees and fields, so it looks like a beautiful holiday spot.
People in the Chilpur and Station Ghanpur areas will get drinking water and water for farming from it.
Farmers were told to use the canal water carefully to protect their crops.
MLA Kadiyam Srihari said Mallanna Gandi, converted into a reservoir under the Devadula Lift Irrigation Scheme, resembles Konaseema in Andhra Pradesh.
He was the chief guest at the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development works in Tatikonda village of Station Ghanpur mandal.
BT roads built from the national highway to Mallanna Gandi at Rs. 15 crore, internal CC roads at Rs. 30 lakh, and newly built Indiramma houses were inaugurated.
The ground breaking ceremony was held for 3 Vivo buildings to be built at Rs. 30 lakh, and uniforms were handed to students of Tatikonda Zilla Parishad School.
Mallanna Gandi began as a small Rs. 60 crore project, and its Rs. 29 crore right canal, completed last year, supplies irrigation; Chilpur and Station Ghanpur mandals will get drinking and irrigation water.
