Sandra Bullock created an Instagram account for an important reason.

People had been pretending to be her online.

Some victims gave these scammers thousands of dollars.

Bullock’s sister even heard from people who thought Bullock had taken their money.

Bullock said people close to her sometimes had to explain that the accounts were fake.

She had previously warned fans that she did not use social media.

After joining Instagram in April, the problem became a little less serious but did not stop.

She is also using the account to promote her new movie, Practical Magic 2.
