Murmu Urges Students to Serve Nation Without Forgetting Roots

President Droupadi Murmu spoke to students at a university graduation ceremony in Vadodara.

She said students should use their education to help society, not only themselves or their families.

She gave examples such as engineers improving people’s lives and doctors treating medicine as service.

She said scientists, artists, teachers and entrepreneurs should all contribute to the country in different ways.

Murmu explained that big problems often need ideas from many subjects.

She also told students to use technology carefully and think about how it affects people.

She praised the growing number of women studying in higher education.

She said women who work at home also help build the country and deserve respect.

She reminded students to respect their parents, teachers and friends and help India develop by 2047.
