Telangana Power Employees Unveil Poster for Maha Dharna
People who work for the electricity companies in Telangana are not happy.
They say the bosses are not listening to their problems.
The workers sent a letter on June 18 asking for a meeting, but no one responded.
They also do not want the company to hire outside workers to take care of the coal and ash plants.
So the workers decided to hold a big protest called a Maha Dharna.
They made a poster to tell everyone about it.
The protest will happen on August 19 at a place called Vidyut Soudha.
They want everyone to come at 11 in the morning.
The workers hope the bosses will finally talk to them and solve the problems.
The Telangana Power Employees Joint Action Committee (TGPEJAC) unveiled the poster for a Maha Dharna at Vidyut Soudha on August 19.
The protest demands immediate resolution of long-pending issues concerning employees, artisans, and pensioners of TGTRANSCO, TGGENCO, TGSPDCL, and TGNPDCL.
Leaders expressed dissatisfaction over the management's indifferent response to their June 18 memorandum seeking a joint meeting.
Employees have opposed the proposed outsourcing of operation and maintenance of the Coal Handling Plant and Ash Handling Plant at YTPS for over 45 days.
TGPEJAC called on all power sector workers and artisans to gather at Vidyut Soudha at 11 am on August 19.
JAC chairman Saibaba, convener Ratnakar Rao, vice-chairman Vazeer, Tajuddin Baba, and Bhupal Reddy released the poster.
