China urges global cooperation on telecom fraud after Pakistan detentions
China seeks global cooperation against telecom frauds as 100 Chinese held in Pakistan · theprint.in

Some people use phones and the internet to trick others and steal their money.

This is called telecom fraud.

Recently, police in Pakistan held more than 100 people from China because they were running illegal call centres.

China said it wants countries to work together to stop this kind of crime.

A Chinese spokesperson said China is starting a big group of countries to fight phone and online scams.

China has also been catching people who run scam call centres in other countries like Myanmar, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.

Chinese courts punished more than 41,000 people who were brought back from Myanmar for these crimes.

Some of those people received very serious punishments.

China also solved many fraud cases last year.

China wants everyone to follow the law and not take part in bad activities.
