President Murmu Honours AIIMS Bilaspur’s First Graduating Doctors
President Droupadi Murmu attended the first graduation ceremony at AIIMS Bilaspur.
The ceremony celebrated 92 doctors from the institute’s 2020 batch.
Five students who topped their categories received gold medals.
The other doctors received their degrees.
Several senior leaders also attended.
Murmu is scheduled to visit places near Manali, including the Atal Tunnel.
Because of that visit, vehicles will be restricted on a route to the tunnel for a set period.
AIIMS Bilaspur is a large hospital that also provides health services in remote areas.
President Droupadi Murmu honoured 92 doctors from AIIMS Bilaspur’s 2020 batch at the institute’s first convocation.
She awarded gold medals to five top students and presented degrees to the other graduates.
Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu attended.
Murmu is scheduled to visit Hidimba Temple and Atal Tunnel on October 7; vehicle movement on the designated route will be restricted from Tuesday evening until Wednesday noon.
AIIMS Bilaspur was built at a cost of more than Rs 1,470 crore and has 750 beds, including 64 ICU beds.
