China Eastern Airlines to Boost Shanghai-Delhi Flights to Five Weekly
A Chinese airline called China Eastern is going to fly more often between a big city in China, Shanghai, and the capital of India, New Delhi.
Right now, they fly there three times a week, but starting in early 2026, they will fly five times a week.
This is because lots of people in India want to travel to China, and China wants to connect better with India too.
They will use a big airplane called an Airbus A330.
This bigger schedule will help people travel for fun, for school, for business, and to learn about each other's cultures.
This airline also plans to add more flights to other cities in India soon.
China Eastern Airlines will increase Shanghai-Delhi direct flights from 3 to 5 per week starting January 2, 2026.
The decision is driven by strong demand from the Indian market.
The flights will be operated using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
China Eastern plans to introduce additional routes to India, including Kunming-Kolkata and Shanghai Pudong-Mumbai.
Increased flight frequency is expected to boost bilateral trade, tourism, education, and cultural exchanges between China and India.
