Thane Mayor Varsha Marathon 2026 Race Office Inaugurated, 30,000 Expected
In the city of Thane in India, there is going to be a big running race called the Thane Mayor Varsha Marathon.
A special office for the race was opened on August 13.
The person who opened it was the city's mayor, Sharmila Pimpale.
The race is coming back after seven years of not happening.
More than 30,000 people are expected to take part.
Runners will include school students, soldiers, older people, and even celebrities.
Everyone who joins will get a chest number so they can race.
The office will help people sign up and answer their questions.

The Thane Municipal Corporation inaugurated the race control office for the 32nd Thane Mayor Varsha Marathon 2026 on August 13.
Mayor Sharmila Pimpale led the inauguration, joined by Deputy Mayor Krishna Patil and other civic officials.
Over 30,000 participants, from students and elite runners to military personnel and senior citizens, are expected.
The marathon returns after a seven-year hiatus with the theme 'Run for Progress, Dynamic Thane'.
Registration and bib distribution are handled at the Late Arvind Pendse Hall in the TMC headquarters, with the portal www.thanecity.gov.in and helpline 022-25364779 available.
