Lucknow cycle rally promotes drug-free lifestyle under anti-drug drive
Some grown-ups in a city called Lucknow rode their bicycles around town to teach people why drugs are bad.
They started at a place called Jan Bhavan and cycled through many neighbourhoods before coming back.
About 150 people who work at Jan Bhavan joined the ride.
They wanted to tell everyone, especially young people, to stay away from drugs.
Drugs can hurt your body, your money, and your family.
The ride is part of a big campaign called the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan', which means a drug-free India.
An officer named R.L. Rajvanshi said every citizen has an important role in building a healthy and safe society.
A special programme was also held at a girls' college called IT College to talk about staying safe from drugs.
The goal is to make the whole city a happy, healthy place without drugs.
A cycle rally was flagged off from Jan Bhavan in Lucknow under the 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' to spread awareness against substance abuse.
Around 150 Jan Bhavan staff members participated, cycling through various wards of Lucknow before returning to Jan Bhavan.
At stops along the route, participants informed the public about the social, economic and health-related ill effects of substance abuse and urged a drug-free lifestyle.
A separate awareness programme on the harmful effects of substance abuse was held at IT College, a premier girls' college in Lucknow.
State Prohibition Officer R.L. Rajvanshi said the campaign aims to make every section of society aware and inspire people to adopt a drug-free lifestyle.
