Susmita Mukherjee says she 'sold my soul' doing C-grade films

A famous actress named Susmita Mukherjee posted a video on Instagram to talk to her fans.

In the video, she told them why she sometimes acted in movies she was not proud of.

A long time ago, in 2002, her family's media company went bankrupt, which means it ran out of money and had to close.

Her family had to pay back a very big loan of one crore rupees.

People who collect money came to her door and were not nice to her and her family.

She needed money to pay the loan and to send her daughter to study far away in Australia and New Zealand.

So she took acting jobs she did not like, and she calls this 'selling her soul.'

She says she did not feel good about those movies then, and she still does not today.

She and her husband worked very hard and paid off the loan after three or four years.

Now she earns well and only works on projects she loves.
