Suvendu Adhikari Unveils Welfare and Infrastructure Push in Nandigram
'Chief Minister For Everyone': Suvendu Adhikari Announces Development Projects In Nandigram · freepressjournal.in

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced many government projects in Nandigram.

These projects include roads, houses, hospitals, buses, jobs and support for farmers.

Thousands of families received money for building or completing homes.

About 67,000 women received money through the Annapurna Yojana.

The government is also distributing Ayushman Bharat health cards.

Some people who cannot receive those cards are to receive coverage under another state health scheme.

Hospitals and health centres will be expanded or repaired.

Adhikari said Nandigram would be his government’s top priority.

He also asked residents to give his party more electoral support.

Development allocation
Nearly Rs 300 crore in development works had reportedly been initiated across Nandigram I and II.
Road projects
Thirty-two new road or road-renovation projects were inaugurated or had foundation stones laid.
Housing
A total of 7,300 beneficiaries received a second instalment of Rs 60,000 each, and construction began for 11,700 new houses.
Women’s welfare
Around 67,000 women received Rs 3,000 each under the Annapurna Yojana during August.
Employment
The Viksit Bharat Gramin Rozgar Guarantee programme was announced with up to 125 days of annual wage employment and up to Rs 34,500 in yearly wages for eligible workers.
Healthcare
Nearly 2.5 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards were being distributed, while around 87,000 excluded people were promised coverage under the Mukhyamantri Health Bima Yojana.
Medical expansion
Reyapara Rural Health Centre is to expand from 30 beds to 60 beds, alongside upgrades at other facilities.
