Maharashtra police book Nanded man for objectionable post on Bawankule

Police in Maharashtra said a man from a city called Nanded wrote a very rude and mean Facebook post about a government minister, Mr. Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

The post said the minister was against a benefit called Maratha reservation, which helps some communities, and it used bad words.

Someone complained about the post, so police opened a case against the man.

They said the post had hurtful words about caste and could scare the minister.

The police believe the man may have broken rules that stop people from sharing false or mean things online.

The case was registered on Sunday, and officials talked about it on Monday.

This happened after a document called a Maratha-Kunbi OBC certificate was taken away by authorities in Beed district.

Because of that, a Maratha quota activist named Manoj Jarange blamed the minister.

Now the police and courts will decide what happens next.
