OBC activist booked for remarks on Maratha woman, expresses regret

A man named Navnath Waghmare said some things about women from the Maratha community that made many people upset.

He said these things during an interview on YouTube in a city called Pune.

The Maratha community felt the words were insulting to their women.

Some people from the community went to the police to complain.

They also stood outside a police station in Jalna and shouted for action.

The police listened and registered a case against Waghmare.

The case is about saying bad things about a woman and causing trouble between groups.

After seeing how upset people were, Waghmare said he was sorry and asked for forgiveness.

Now the police will look into what happened and decide what to do next.
