IICT and Netflix announce scholarships for creative technology students

The Indian Institute of Creative Technologies and Netflix are offering scholarships to students.

The scholarships can help pay up to 80 percent of programme fees.

They are available for 100 students across India.

Students can apply until September 30.

There are six different programmes to choose from.

These programmes teach skills such as animation, visual effects, comics, gaming and media technology.

Some courses last one year, while others last six months.

Netflix helped develop parts of the curriculum for two programmes.

The organisations say the initiative will help students prepare for jobs in creative technology industries.
