Gadchiroli Set to Become Global Green Steel Hub

Maharashtra wants Gadchiroli to become a major place for making green steel.

Green steel is made using methods that are intended to reduce harm to the environment.

Minister Jaykumar Rawal said the state signed an agreement with John Cockerill India Limited to help begin this plan.

The project could bring new technology and large investments to Gadchiroli.

It may also create jobs for local people.

The government wants young people in the area to receive useful skills training.

The plan would use Vidarbha’s natural and mineral resources.

Officials say Gadchiroli could become known for green steel, innovation and sustainable industries.

The agreement is scheduled to be formally exchanged on September 4 in the presence of Belgium’s prime minister.
