In India, the price of gold went up on Monday, August 10, 2026, and rose again in early trading on Tuesday, August 11.

On the MCX, India's big commodity market, 24-carat gold futures climbed by Rs 2,000 to Rs 1,55,099 per 10 grams, a jump of about 1.31 percent.

A gram of very pure 24-karat gold costs about Rs 15,197.

A gram of 22-karat gold costs about Rs 13,930, and a gram of 18-karat gold costs about Rs 11,398.

Around the world, gold prices touched $4,478.90 for one ounce.

In India, bullion rates also rose to around Rs 1.56 lakh per 10 grams, according to the All India Sarafa Association.

A finance company named Motilal Oswal shared a report about gold.

The report says that world problems alone may not be enough to keep gold prices climbing.

Investors are also watching how those problems affect inflation and interest rates, so gold prices depend on many things.
