On August 8, 2026, 24-carat gold in Delhi cost Rs 1,54,000 for 10 grams, including taxes.

Gold futures contracts on the Multi Commodity Exchange also went up.

They were trading at Rs 1,51,985 for 10 grams.

The day before, October gold futures had risen by half a percent to Rs 1,49,607.

Different groups reported slightly different prices for the same 24-carat gold.

One group said it cost Rs 1,48,440, while another said it cost Rs 1,49,860.

Around the world, an ounce of gold was selling for about $4,302.50.

Strong global markets and lots of people wanting to buy gold helped push prices upward.
