Divya Mittal is an Indian government officer who worked in the Indian Administrative Service.

She said she was leaving after 13 years of service.

She studied at IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore and later worked in London.

She returned to India because she wanted to help her country.

She became an IAS officer after passing the civil services examination.

She worked as a district magistrate in three Uttar Pradesh districts.

She later became a special secretary in the state Revenue Department.

Mittal said nothing specific caused her resignation and that she had been feeling for months that she was finished with the job.

Some reports suggested she might enter politics, but she has not confirmed any future plan.
