Dixon Technologies India Ltd signed a joint venture agreement with Gemtek Technology Co to manufacture optical transceivers and other telecom products in India.
The business will operate through Dixon Electroconnect Pvt Ltd, currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Dixon Technologies.
After completion, Dixon will own 60% of the joint venture and Gemtek 40%; neither company will hold a direct equity stake in the other.
The venture plans to make SFP optical transceivers, BOSA units and other telecom products for the Indian market.
The transaction is expected to be completed by February 3, 2027, and the JV board will have three Dixon nominees and two Gemtek nominees.
