Independence Day 2026: Light Rain Likely at Delhi's Red Fort

Weather experts, called the India Meteorological Department, watch the sky to predict the weather.

They shared a forecast for this year's Independence Day.

They say the Red Fort area may get a little rain in the early morning.

A short spell of rain is expected between 4 am and 6 am.

There is a 70 percent chance that it will rain then.

Another small shower might come between 6 am and 9 am.

There is a 60 percent chance of that rain.

The expected rain is light, so people going to the celebrations should be ready with an umbrella.
