Skyroot Aerospace Becomes India's First Private Space Unicorn

Skyroot Aerospace, a company started by former ISRO scientists, has made history by launching Vikram-1, India's first private orbital rocket.

This achievement has made Skyroot the first private space unicorn in India, valued at $1.1 billion.

Early investors like Mukesh Bansal and Haldiram's Nagpur have seen huge returns on their investments.

The rocket, launched from Sriharikota, placed multiple payloads into a 450-km Low Earth Orbit, making India only the third country where a private company has independently developed and launched an orbital-class rocket.
