Indian Railways Approves Projects to Boost Safety and Efficiency
Indian Railways approved several projects to make train travel safer and smoother.
One project will expand Kavach Version 4.0 in the Lucknow Division.

Kavach Version 4.0 will cover 607.7 route kilometres in North Eastern Railway’s Lucknow Division at a cost of ₹252 crore.
Electronic Interlocking will be installed at seven stations in Central Railway’s Solapur Division for ₹209 crore.
The Savalyapuram-Guntur section will receive a 1x25 kV-to-2x25 kV traction upgrade costing ₹142 crore.
A four-lane road overbridge will replace Level Crossing No. 53 on Western Railway at a cost of ₹133.2295 crore.
The projects are intended to improve train safety, signalling, electrical capacity, and road-rail traffic flow.
