Arunachal Minister Denies Chinese Encroachment Claims
The Home Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Mama Natung, said that there is no truth to the rumors that China is taking over parts of India near the Taksing area.
He said these are just lies spread on social media.
The minister assured that Indian soldiers are always protecting the border.
However, a group called the Nah Welfare Society claims that Chinese military activities have been increasing near the border over the past 15 years.
They say they have told important leaders about this.
India and China have a long border in Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims as its own, but India says it is part of India.
Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung dismissed claims of Chinese encroachment in the Taksing sector.
Natung called the allegations 'lies and social media rumours' and assured that Indian soldiers are protecting the border.
The Nah Welfare Society (NWS) alleged increased Chinese military activities near the Taksing sector over the past 15 years.
NWS claimed to have submitted representations to senior authorities about the issue.
India and China share a 1,129-km border in Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims as 'South Tibet'.
