Top Maoist Misir Besra Arrested in Dhanbad
A top rebel named Misir Besra was caught by police in the town of Dhanbad, India.
He had a reward of more than 1 crore rupees on his head.
Besra was wanted for many crimes in Jharkhand and nearby Odisha.
The police also arrested two other rebels that night.
Earlier that day, 16 rebels had already turned themselves in, including one with a 15 lakh rupee reward.
Top Maoist Misir Besra arrested in Dhanbad with a bounty over Rs 1 crore.
Besra wanted in multiple cases across Jharkhand and Odisha.
Arrest occurred in Maniadih area under Barwadda police station.
Two additional Maoists were also taken into custody during the operation.
Earlier that day, 16 Maoists surrendered, including Santosh Mahto alias Basudev Da alias Dilip with a Rs 15 lakh reward.
