Palghar Court Dismisses Appeal, Clears Demolition of 54-Unit Shed

A big court in Palghar decided that a huge shed with 54 shops near Boisar station was built without permission.

The owners had asked the court to stop the government from tearing it down, but the judge said the government was right to demolish it.

The shed was built on land that should have stayed for farming, not shops.

The court said the owners had already been told no to regularise the shed.

Now the government can start tearing it down.

The judge also said the earlier pause on demolition was cancelled.

The decision was made on July 23, 2024.

The court followed the rules of the MRTP Act.

The government wants to keep the land for its proper use.

The owners will lose their illegal shops.
