Congress trains coordinators to protect Telangana voters in roll revision

In Telangana, the government is checking its list of voters to make sure it is correct.

This is called a special intensive revision of the electoral roll.

During this check, some people's names might be removed from the voting list by mistake.

The Congress party held a big meeting on Sunday to teach its helpers how to protect voters.

These helpers work at different levels, like in districts and parliamentary areas.

They were told to make sure no one who is allowed to vote loses their name from the list.

The party is worried about 73.39 lakh names that could be deleted because they are marked as absent, shifted, dead, or duplicate.

To help, the party will use a special form called Form-6 to save those names.

They will also help people answer official notices so their names stay on the list.

The work starts on Monday and will last for one month.
