Bengal CM admits lapses in three-month-old BJP government, vows fixes

The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari, spoke to women in north Kolkata who receive money from the government every month.

The women get 3,000 rupees through a programme called the Annapurna Yojana.

He said the government, which is only three months old, may have made some mistakes and will fix them.

He talked about good things the government has done, like acting quickly after a terrible crime against an 11-year-old girl.

He also mentioned that the government reopened an old case about a hospital.

Millions of women have received this money, including over one crore women in July.

The government checks carefully who can get the money, and has stopped people who were not supposed to receive it.

He promised that every eligible woman will get the benefit.

He also asked women to form groups to support other women who face harm.
